In conjunction with Les Bell Associates and ALC Training, we deliver CISSP fast-track training courses based on (ISC)2’s Common Body of Knowledge in Australia and New Zealand. ALC’s one-week CISSP revision course is intensive, based on the presumption that students will have already studied the materials beforehand. Please contact ALC Training for details of the course schedule and pricing.
We also offer bespoke training courses, seminar presentations and other awareness activities lasting from about half an hour up to a full week or more, covering any of the areas on which we consult. Through our NoticeBored security awareness service, we have immediate access to seminar slides, mind maps, case studies and handouts on over 30 topical information security issues and can create new presentation and workshop materials on request (for example ‘security induction’-type sessions covering the basics of information security for a general audience, for managers or for IT professionals). Clearly we can speak authoritatively about security awareness, information security management and IT audit but the nature of our work also keeps us in touch with many other aspects of information security.
We particularly enjoy presenting at security conferences, both public and corporate/in-house security events. We would be delighted to develop and deliver a creative and inspirational presentation that aligns with your chosen theme. Contact us for further details, including information on previous conference presentations etc.
We have launched a unique remote mentoring service for information security and IT audit professionals entering management roles for the first time. In return for a retainer or hourly fee, we can provide both moral and practical support to such individuals on a personal basis, sharing our collective expertise plus that of an extensive network of highly experienced professional colleagues. We can help you in all sorts of practical ways such as:
-
Specifying, justifying and launching security projects;
-
Selecting security tools;
-
Getting middle to senior management on-board with your plans for an Information Security Management System;
-
Auditing an application system, network or entire organization;
-
Assessing information security risks and developing information security strategies;
-
Making significant career choices, polishing your CV/résumé, marketing yourself and preparing for job interviews;
-
Specifying job descriptions, advertising vacancies, selecting candidates, interviewing and appointing information security and IT audit staff.
